HELP! My computer crashed after installing Trend Micro Internet Security!!?
I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop. My antivirus software was. Why does my anti-virus software thinks newgrounds. com is malicious? whenever im watching a movie, on the internet or playing a game my computer freezes up. When it freezes the programs will suddenly stop and i cant alt-ctrl-delete my way out of it. i can move my mouse around but i cannot click anything.
if there was a sound in progress usually during a freeze it will repeat over and over. Ultimately i have to reboot the system and after it comes on my computer will vary anywhere to within a hour before freezing again. Never had this issue before so i tried a dozen of anti viruses but nothing works.

I have updated my PC to Windows 7 (I previously had Windows Vista).
I was told that Windows 7 drivers were much like or even the same as those of Windows Vista. Besides the fact that I cannot find the drivers for my web-cam and microphone, now I am unable to install my anti-virus software. I do I safe mode? HELP HURRY VIRUS ATTACK!? So, I bought my computer from Dell a while ago (no complaints about it) but for the longest time it’s been telling me that Trend Micro Internet Security has finally expired. Now, I attempted to uninstall it but it requires a password, which I never received as the software already came installed on the computer.
I even tried putting the CD in, but still it asked for me a password when trying to use that to uninstall it. Any suggestions as to what I can do to get this P. O.S software off my computer? How to uninstall Trend Micro Security? Ive been haing this issue since yesterday.
I can connect to my wireless router with no problems, but the internet dos not work on IE7 or FireFox. In safe mode, I can connect to the same router wirelessly, and can use the internet. In normal mode, I have full bars, I can ping and use aim.
But if using the internet, yahoo messenger or Windows live, it says I am not connected. My trendmicro is up to date, and no viruses found. I cant do a system restore, bc the entry I have in there is corrupted.
I tried using the Windows 7 repair utility on startup, and scanned the startup files, which were corrupted, but even after cleaning them up I am still having issues. Any help?

Internet only works in safe mode (Windows7 x64)? I accidentally let my anti-virus software lapse and today I suddenly had a horrible virus going by the name “Antivirus Soft” on my computer that kept me from opening any programs or downloading the new version of Trend Micro. I put my computer in safe mode and was able to stop the process and to keep it from starting when the computer boots. I decided to download BitDefender instead of Trend Micro because the reviews were better.
However, I’m not sure how to tell if I removed the virus. All the sites I saw telling you how to remove it seemed to want you to download their programs and I couldn’t find confirmation that BitDefender takes care of this “Antivirus Soft. ” Does anyone know for sure?

Do you think I have removed the virus “Antivirus Soft” using BitDefender? Hey i just recently starting getting errors that are commonly linked to the Trojan. F virus (Task manager closing as soon as its opened etc).

I’ve run the Windows Validator and it said it wasn’t an original. The thing is, its stopping my Sims Superstar from working. Prior to this though, Windows Aero has come up many a times.
I purchased this laptop from Harvey Norman nearly 2 years ago, I have windows vista home basic because it came preloaded on the computer. Since then I have had a few issues with this laptop regarding trend micro.
I am currently using Norton and I do constant checks for viruses and the like. But, I had to restore the laptop to its original settings because of a trojan that wouldn’t remove itself and we just couldn’t find it. Could that be effecting my laptop now? HELP!!!!

pop ups and slow internet :( please help (hijack log is posted)? My laptop is about 5 months old. I have the Trend Micro Anti-spy software. My computer has never run without the spy-ware.
And the spy-ware is saying that there is no virus’s or threats detected, however my computer will re-start on its own and it will freeze up, or the screen will get all weird-then the desktop tool bar on the bottom of my screen will disappear. I’m assuming that this is a virus, what else would be causing all this to happen? How do I get rid of this problem?!
