Hi, I have a comp with specs like this Core 2 Duo e8400 2x1GB Corsair Dominator PC8500 MB ASUS P5KPLCM VGA HIS ATI HD 4650 512 MB HDD SATA II 7200 RPM 500GB 4 USB Devices Might add 1-2 more 1TB SATA II HDD and an optic drive in the near future. Oh and not to mention a 2nd monitor for trading purposes.
(the Graphic card has 2 DVI outputs) Main uses is for online trading, office software, browsing, multimedia, and mid level gaming, not overclocked, but almost always on (20hrs/day) because I’m actively downloading movies (hence the HDDs in the future) I’m using a cheap casing stock PSU which is a 380W Simbadda I don’t even know the true power output. I’ve found a website to count my power usage and it shows at least 255 Watts.
Asus PCProbe Shows CPU voltage as follows at idle times V Core 1.15V +3.3 : 3.28v +5 : 5.07V +12 : 11.77V But sometimes the +12 might reach 11.63 when at heavy load, is this normal? what is the good value for the above voltages? Should I change my PSU to stabilize the voltage output?
I haven’t got any problems like BSOD or crashes or resets yet, I’m looking at a corsair 400W PSU, will this be sufficient? Thanks.
Should I change my PSU? skip to the end of my spiel if you just want to answer the question. when the ps3 was first released, some models were equipped with an emotion chip (the missing piece of hardware which allowed it to play ps2 games) and some were not backwards compatible at all.
however there were the middle ground systems which employed ‘software emulation’ wot make a number of ps2 games compatible with the ps3 at no extra hardware cost. what i’ve always assumed is that software emulation is a portion of the operationg system which utilises part of the ps3s inbuilt hardware to assume the role of the ps2′s emotion chip during the playing of ps2 games. so why, then, is it that software emulation is absent int eh newer 80gig console?
the 80 gig is the only console now available new, at least in australia, and it is missing one of the crucial components which has made the playstation line so appealing as a gaming console, backwards compatibility. when you consider how badly this affects the game library available to ps3 owners, it seems that this would be a stupid choice by sony.
on a more personal level, however, when i purchased my ps3 console, i actually traded in my old ps2 in the assumption that the new model of ps3 could not possibly lack the backwards compatibilitywhich has been so intergral as a feature in the ps3. however the first time i slipped in my ratchet and clank game from my enourmous ps2 game collection, all i got was a stupid error message telling me a bout the inferiority of my playstation model. now here’s the question: the 20 gigabyte model of the ps3 had software emulation.
is it possible that software emulation could be added to my 80 gig ps3 in a future system update? or alternatively, could i get a hold of the 20 gig ps3 firmware and install it on my 80 gig? perhaps in a 20 gig partition.
ps3 ‘software emulation’? i know it’s far from perfect but any suggestions would be greatly greatly appreciated! if you want to email me back any changes my mail is nfrank89@gmail.
com here’s the AD im responding to http://seattle. craigslist.
org/skc/sad/1106300052. html Hello!
My name is Nick Franklin and I am responding to your craigslist ad for an IT Support Specialist. The thing that really caught my eye from your ad was not the title; it was the jack-of-all trades statement as that is what I have always considered myself to be! Reading further only added to the excitement as line by line I read about the perfect job for me! I currently work part time for a small startup IT/Customer support business in Seattle called In City Networks, LLC.
I have a great relationship with my boss and my clients but the business is on the back burner right now and we are not actively acquiring new clients so there isnt quite enough work to pay the bills. However, I love the job. In City Networks is similar to Best Buys Geek Squad, we provide Hardware and software support, peripheral installation/support, we even help setup home theater systems.
And all of our services are provided remotely or in person. I am also familiar with documenting my work and using that as a tool to troubleshoot future problems and keep track of steps already performed so I do not waste time and money implementing steps and procedures which have already taken place.
As I said before, I am a jack-of-all trades. Not only in the IT field though, have my skills ranged from automotive repair to cooking to just about anything!
I am motivated to succeed at any task that is thrown my way and I do so very thoroughly with attention to detail. Whenever I come across a problem that I cannot troubleshoot on my own I put my research skills to work. I use all tools made available to me to find the answers to any question or solve any problem I may have.
I also provide excellent customer service and communication, two things I learned while working as a cashier at QFC. Throughout my educational career I have served as both a great team player and leader. As a team player I do my part to make sure all that is expected of me is organized and completed on time.
As a team leader I use my communication skills to keep in touch with all group members and to motivate those who may be slacking or having trouble. Ive covered some of my knowledge and skills but Ill focus more on that now. Problem solving is not only a skill, but a hobby of mine.
I enjoy the challenge and the praise after solving problems. I like to feel that what I do is important and helpful and this motivates me to work harder. I can see that this position is one of importance and I believe that I will perform well.
I am quite familiar with traditional phone systems and less, but also familiar with VoIP systems. (Nothing a little research cant fix! ) Again, my main duty with In City Networks is to provide customer service and technical support so I am already experienced with remote and in person assistance, contract negotiation, and procedure documentation.
Another thing we believe in at In City Networks is teaching our clients as we go and helping them prevent future problems. Bringing this skill to your company can definitely increase productivity over time by helping employees understand how to solve and prevent common issues. And finally, I am familiar with network devices such as APs and firewalls.
I can easily research or be trained to use any equipment that I am not familiar with. I am currently unable to finish college due to lack of funds but still wish to begin my career. Please consider my application.
If the position is no longer available then I would be interested in an internship if that is something you can offer. Anything I can do to get my foot in the door because this job seems to be exactly where to begin my career.
Thank you very much for your consideration, -Nick Franklin Anyone care to proof read my cover letter for an employment application? Brain-Computer Interface This is a direct communication pathway between a brain (or brain cell culture) and an external device ie a computer. Examples Using a Brain to control a computer: http://www.

com/watch? v=-EvOlJp5KIY This indicates in the future we will have computers that will be able to decode a persons thoughts or have computers which will give us our thoughts and also this shows how easy are free will can be taken and I know will be taken in the future.
Today using this technology you can make a person move their limbs against their own will or control a robot device with your thought alone. With all that I can see this becoming digital or using satellites to control humanity to do as the controller pleases ie slavery for economic purposes I can first see them programming the other great apes.
Forget robots with minds better than ours we are the ones which will be under controll by software Shouldnt we be scared its not like this will take 100 years the amount of data a computer chip can store is doubling every two years and we can already hold alot of data maybe by next century your whole life all your thought will be downloaded. Funny thing the general public do not know to much about this they are too busy talking about nonsense Are we on the verge of a new slave trade will it be possible? Hey.
I am learning to trade stocks and shares and would appreciate any advice on what software to use when trading? Also, can anyone tell me the difference between spreadbetting and futures? Any other tips or advice for a beginner trader is much appreciated!!
What’s the best software to buy for trading stocks & shares? I’d like to trade futures contracts on the S&P 500 E-mini in Canada I am looking to download software? I’m an electronic/pit commodity futures trader with volume being 90/10, respectively. I trade a mix of technical and fundamental, with reasons for trades being based on fundamental and backed up with technical. I’ve been looking at software, and am almost scared to try anything other than Tradestation 8. Is there anything out there that is better at utilizing market data and testing strategies?
I don’t expect to trade through Tradestation, instead I usually trade on the ladders through CQG. I use CQG trader basically because most people do, and it seems to be the quickest.
I’ve also been told about Cunningham Trading Systems, but their website doesn’t give me much info about how their product. So, can anyone give me a good idea of what software is the most nimble, understandable, worth it, and smart with new meaningful extras that put it in a class by itself?
Is tradestation really the best? There’s so much software out there, and tradestation seems to overshadow everyone else with marketing.
Professionals only please. Reminder: I will be trading primarily commodity futures. I’m in love with think or swim’s design, but not ‘how technical their charts go’, and ability to personalize.
Don’t get me wrong, if I was trading equity options, I would likely be all over it. Espeicially the CNBC tab, how cool? I called think or swim, and they don’t even cover two of the obscure domestic markets I specialize in. They’re really not up on their futures game. Best Futures Trading Software? I am new to programming.
I know a little flash and actionscript 2.0 and have done some html/javascript/asp programming but kinda never mastered it, I just basically know how to tweak html/javascript/asp scripts to work or show what i want. Kinda the same with Flash but I understand how the syntax of actionscript works and i can understand what I am doing in actionscript but I basically tweak other peoples scripts.
So now I want to move on to a strong language. I think because I havent mastered any languages I should treat myself as a beginner that hasnt master anything. I have been looking around to see what languages are recommended for beginnners.
Most people suggest Python, Java, and C++. I am a college student and the courses I will be taking next year will be teaching Java to introduce us then I think we will be learning C++. I was wondering should I learn C Sharp(C#) on my own instead of C++ or Java since I will be taught those by my instructor. That way I will have three languages under my belt.
I might start off a jack of all trades but I think this will help me find out which one I like more and which one that I want to master. I choose C Sharp because I hear its good for making games. I hear that the XNA program is good and uses C Sharp.
In the future I would like to be a game programmer, but I dont want to be limited to just that. I want to be able to make software and other usefully programs. Can anyone help?
Choosing a programming language? i would like to purchase intrday nifty future trading software could any one suggest me regarding this softwar If I invent something be it in hardware or software, and I start using it say internally at my company or during the creation of products, and I don’t patent it, what happens if someone rediscovers the same thing and patents it years or decades later? Is their patent invalid or am I forced to pay a licensing fee for the technology I developed first and had been using for years before they discovered it and patented it? That is am I forced to patent any technology be it hardware or software that I develop to ensure I have the rights to use it without paying anyone in the future? hmmm, patent it. The problem is one has to strike a balance between vagueness and broadness, and specific narrow detailed specifications.
IF you give away to much many things can be reverse engineered or implemented some other way. While if you don’t give enough your patent could be destroyed in court.
I personally prefer to keep things that are going to be used internally trade secret. Like the coke recipe, or the kfc recipe.
But if there is no legal defense for internal use. does prior art require that you sell it or make it public? Can’t you simply use it internally and provide evidence of that?

Assume I’m the owner of the corporation, and only under Nondisclossure signed agreements can someone access the hardware, recipe, technic, or software.
